Specification of the height of the free end of the support frame
2024-04-07
The specifications for the free end heights of braces vary depending on the type of brace. Below are a few common types of braced frames and their free end height specifications:
fastener scaffolding
The height of the free end should not exceed 500mm.
Tooled racks (disk, bowl and wheeled racks)
The cantilever height should not exceed 650mm.
Determined by the height of the formwork
The height of the free end should be 1/3 to 1/2 of the height of the formwork, e.g. if the formwork is 4 m high, the height of the free end should be between 1.33 m and 2 m.
The national standards stipulate that
The height of the free end of a steel pipe scaffold should not exceed four times the diameter of the pole. For example, for a steel pipe with a diameter of 48mm, the free end height should not exceed 192mm.
Special Case
The height of the free end of the support frame for supporting anti-corrosion treated gas or liquid pipes on the contact surface shall be not less than 200mm.
The height of the free end of the support frame for solid pipelines, metal pipelines and all kinds of cables with anticorrosion treatment on the contact surface shall be not less than 150mm.
When the free end of the support frame is higher than 2.5m, it should be used with the free end of the foot or add the free end of the safety device.
In the actual application, according to the specific type of support frame and the actual situation of the construction site, combined with the above specifications to determine the specific height of the free end of the support frame. At the same time, ensuring construction safety is the primary consideration.
